Syllabus: Andhra Pradesh Judicial Services Examination

Eligibility Criteria : LLB

Age Limit: Not more than 35 years (For SC/ST-5 years relaxation)

Scheme of Examination

The examination shall be conducted in three stages namely-

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective type) (100 Marks)

2. Main Written Examination (Subjective type) (300Marks)

3. Viva-Voce (50 Marks)

(i) Civil Rules of Practice

(j) Registration Act, 1908 & Indian Stamp Act, 1899

(k) A.P. Land Encroachment Act, 1905

(l)A.P. Buildings (Lease, Rent & Eviction) Control Act, 1960
(m) Indian Evidence Act, 1872

(ii) Criminal Law

(a) The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973

(b) The Indian Penal Code, 1860

(c) The Evidence Act, 1872

(d) Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881

Note: The candidates belonging to ST/SC/BC who secure at least 45/45/50 percent respectively of the marks in each paper shall alone be eligible for admission the interviews.

In the Interview, the academic knowledge of a candidate, his communication skills, his tact and ability to handle various situations in the Court, will be tested.
