- Phase 1 – Prelims examination is of objective type.
- Phase 2 – Mains examination is of written type.
- Phase 3 – Interview
Negative marking of 0.25 will be deducted for the wrongly attempted questions in the prelims examination.
PHASE 1 – PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
You will face the preliminary exam first which is an objective test of 200 Marks.The question will be based on following parts:
PART 1 – GENERAL KNOWLEDGE (50 Marks)
It will include the following:
- Day to day events around India and the world specially related to Law.
- Questions mainly asked from International Law, Neutrality, Indian Constitution, Recent Legislations and Developments but will not be confined to it.
PART 2 – LAW (150 MARKS)
- Transfer of Property Act
- Hindu Law / Mohammedan Law
- Indian Evidence Act
- Criminal Procedure Code
- Indian Penal Code
- Code of Civil Procedure
PHASE 2 – MAINS EXAMINATION
The exam is conducted under the five papers :PAPER I – PRESENT DAY (150 marks)
This paper will consist of following:
- Current events related to India & the world.
- Generally questions are asked from current developments in the following:
- – legal field
- – Jurisprudence
- – International Law
- – Neutrality
- – Recent Legislations
- – Constitutional Law and Development
PAPER II – LANGUAGE (100 mark)
- Translation from English to Hindi – 30 marks
- Translation from Hindi to English – 30 marks
- Precise writing in English – 40 marks
PAPER III – LAW PAPER I (200 marks)
You will be asked question based on the Following:
- Indian Contract Act
- Partnership Act
- Trust, Easement and Equity
- Law of Tort
- Transfer of Property Act
- Hindu Law
- Mohammedan Law
- Specific Relief Act
PAPER IV – LAW PAPER II (200 marks)
You will be asked question based on the Following:
- Indian Evidence Act
- Criminal Procedure Code
- Civil Procedure Code
PAPER V – LAW PAPER III (CRIMINAL, REVENUE AND LOCAL LAND LAWS) (200 Marks)
You will be asked question based on the Following:
- Indian Penal Code
- U.P. Zamindari Abolition & Land Reforms Act (as applicable to Uttrakhand)
NOTE : Minimum marks are 40% in each written paper and aggregate of 50% to qualify for interview. Relaxation of 5% each has been made for SC/ST/PWD.
PHASE 3 – INTERVIEW
- Interview will carry 100 Marks
- Proper Knowledge of COMPUTER is essential
